This office is unique to the agency because it is the only region funded by Heart of Kentucky United Way (HKUW). Because of this region's special relationship with HKUW, the program in our area facilitates the community-based mentoring program and will soon be launching a new program based off of our site-based mentoring within our school systems. The Danville community is very supportive of our programs. The Danville community is very supportive of our program, and participating in Bowl for Kids' Sake every year is a tradition for most business in our little town. In Danville, we are small but mighty!
Rhonda Middleton- Madison & Clark Counties
BBBS of Clark and Madison Counties has served this region with our Community Based Programs. Our community based program allows for the adult mentors (BIGS) to spend time with our children (LITTLES) for approximately one hour per week. These activities allow for matches to 'hang out' and share in once lifetime adventures in the community.
For over 20 years, BBBS of Montgomery County has been serving the region in a variety of ways - Community Based Program: which allows matches to hang out and share in once in a lifetime opportunities in the community. As well as the School Based Program - which allows for Juniors and/or Seniors from Montgomery County High School to be matched with local elementary school students on-site in their respective school each week.
We are pleased to announce the Mt. Sterling/Montgomery County Kiwanis Club is this years sponsor for the BBBS high school program located at Mapleton Elementary.
